		ILIGAN CITY HALL – nestled a top of Buhanginan Hill (130 feet above sea level). Built in 1956. It is also a favorite promontory of Iliganons for viewing the sunset or skyline of the city by night.

Iligan the City of Waterfalls has several spring swimming pools to offer. One of the most spectacular of which is the Timoga Spring Pool found in Timoga, Buru-un, Iligan, Philippines. It is one of the several pools found in the area that got its water from the flowing spring coming from the mountains of Iligan City. It is 5-10 minutes away from Maria Cristina Falls and minutes away from El Lauriento Swimming Pool and Mimar’s Springway Resort which are also classy spring pools that offer that same icy cool water and has spacious area with restaurant.

Timoga Spring Pool has a broad parking area which makes it easy to see your vehicle. Of course the management is not liable for any damages or losses but the guard nearby can help in the security of your car and belongings. They have been issued an environmental compliance certificate by the DENR or Department of Environment and Natural Resources last June 16, 1999 and it is still effective today.

Tinago, for example, which means “hidden” in Cebuano,  describes how it was hidden from the rumbling forests down under. Imagine taking about 400 steps downstairs and get your knees restlessly shuddering  for tiredness, and witness what’s worth descending for a grandiloquent display of nature’s best.

its more fun in Iligan Blogging Contest 2012

To celebrate the Adlaw sa Iligan (June 16), the Iligan Bloggers Society, Inc. (IBS) launched the Iligan Blogging Contest 2012.

IBS coordinated with the City Government of Iligan through the City Tourism to conduct a blogging contest for Iligan. The blogging contest aims to promote the “bests” of Iligan City not just to the Philippines but to the rest of the world.

Two types of bloggers may participate in the contest: First, the bloggers who have visited Iligan and experienced firsthand the beauty of Iligan. Second, the bloggers who have read from the internet or have heard from friends about how beautiful Iligan City is, in turn, luring him to visit Iligan and see for himself. A blogger may submit at most two (2) entries.

Submission of entries will start on June 17, 2012 and the contest will run until September 1, 2012 when the winners shall be announced during the Opening Salvo of the Diyandi Festival sa Iligan.

Dates to remember:

End of entries submission: July 31, 2012 at 11:59pm Philippine Time.

The Good and Bad of Delecta Diner and Cafe

Taking a break from all the Sendong articles, it’s time post something that is also my favorite – food and restaurants!

Ako last visit sa Delecta was in the 1990s. My first since that date was in December 2011, dinner, after volunteering for Sendong victims and survivors.

I have mixed reactions with my latest dining experience in Delecta Diner and Cafe.

First, the good.
